If you've been having trouble sleeping, spicing up your life could be the answer - or that's the belief of one very creative celebrity chef. Gurapreet Bains has come up with a curry recipe that is said to leave the eater ready to join the land of nod just 20 minutes after consuming it. Designed as an insomnia cure, the foodie treat contains a combination of ingredients aimed at inducing tiredness, including a large dose of the spice nutmeg, which is a natural intoxicant. Talking about the recipe, Mr Bains said: "The ingredients have been used for millennia for their tranquilising properties, and our research has shown it to work incredibly well." The recipe for the comatose curry appears in the chef's newly launched book Indian Superspices, which will no doubt now become prescribed bedtime reading for those who want to improve their quality of sleep and skills in the kitchen.
