100743791 As every desperate parent will agree, some nights the only way to get a restless baby to sleep is to drive them around in the family car. However a new baby chair claims to do the same job as a car seat but without the car. The Cruisin’ Motion Soother has been created by US scientists to emulate the sensation of being driven around in a car, which could prove effective for getting babies to drift off in time for bed. This clever invention subtly mimics the sleep-inducing movements and sounds of a car journey, recreating the hum of the car engine, going over bumps and turning corners. Sarah Allen, Fisher Price representative, commented: “The chair itself is actually the deepest kind of seat we have ever done and we did that to give the same feel as a car seat.”
