100911879A unique hotel may be built in Barcelona, where climbing enthusiasts can sleep easy by spending the night harnessed to the ledges of the 100 metre tall rock construction. Holidaymakers usually prefer to book a room, but the Polish architects behind this concept structure are pitchign the accommodation as offering an extraordinary experience specifically aimed at advanced climbers. Patrons would sacrifice the comfort of a bed to enjoy breath taking views over Catalan city as they spend the night on a rock ledge. The hotel design has many outlandish features, such as the external climbing walls and a pool for climbers to jump into from the building; as well as hotel luxuries inside, including shops, a spa and cinema. The designer, Hugon Kowalski, hopes that the distinctive hotel will become a feature of the city and an iconic symbol of Barcelona.
