Time4Sleep Bedroom Style Trends: October 2021

As we embrace autumn and all of its bountiful colours and produce, we also look forward to winter and the importance of cocooning ourselves in the warmth and comfort of our homes for the months ahead. And while you’ve been planning that all-important cosy winter decor, we’ve been scouring Instagram for some seriously inspiring bedroom designs to help spark your imagination.

If you’re wanting to add some serious comfort and colour to your home this season, we’ve pulled together a super-stylish edit of bedroom designs that are bound to inspire! From a vibrant teen’s bedroom with an industrial edge, to a statement padded headboard and a tranquil space that’s a study in cosiness and hygge bedroom design.

Leave your wellies by the back door and step inside Sarah’s Edwardian country home, @hearts_at_claremont. Bursting with characterful touches inspired by her home’s heritage, the space is a masterclass in classic, yet elegant, styling – think muted colour palettes, wall panelling and antique-inspired accents. And we love the playful twist she has given her teenage son’s bedroom, with industrial brick-effect wallpaper, pops of mustard and vintage barn stars.

For a room with style and practicality at its core, our New England White Wooden Ottoman Storage Bed is an excellent choice. The slatted platform lifts to reveal a large storage area, which is perfect for housing books, games and spare bedding in a teen’s bedroom. Plus, you could always make like Sarah and elevate the classic panelled headboard with a string of twinkling fairy lights – how cosy!

Shapely Style

For a space that’s both balanced and refined, you can’t get much better than the newly-renovated bedroom in Holly’s Victorian farmhouse. With a zen-like sense of calm, the space is awash with stunning pieces inspired by nature, such as tumbling houseplants, natural textures, ambient lighting and a beautiful wreath made from fronds of dried foliage.

Softly curved, and with a style that’s in-keeping with the age and character of her period property, a classic Winged Bed was the perfect choice for Holly’s home – and this one has some cheeky underbed storage, too! Opting for a bed that’s upholstered in cosy brushed cotton or textured linen also helps to evoke a laid-back, natural vibe.

Just Peachy

The contemporary styling of Ellie’s home @lifeatstaustell is straight outta Interior Design Masters and we’re obsessed! Eclectic and bohemian, with a modern edge, her pink bedroom is wonderfully multi-dimensional. We’ve already got our eye on her textured wall covering, on-trend rattan furniture and gallery wall of vintage and contemporary artworks.

Echoing the undulations of her wall covering, our Levisham Ottoman Pastel Cotton Eau De Nil Bed Frame is contemporary comfort personified, and is upholstered in a complementary ice-cream hue. It also has some handy underbed ottoman storage, which is great for tidying away clutter and allowing your true interior design style to shine.

Feeling inspired? Track down a statement ottoman bed just like Ellie’s on the Storage Bed section of our website.
