Ever wished you could grab a quick snooze on the commute to work but struggle to fall asleep with the distraction of other passengers? Well, an innovative new product called the Ostrich Pillow might just be the solution, Yahoo News UK reports. Described as a 'portable power napping pillow', the Ostrich Pillow Light was created by designers Kawamura-Ganjavian and Studio Banana Things as a solution for commuters who want to sleep on the way to work. The £25 Ostrich Pillow Light is a soft band that goes all the way around the head, covering ears and eyes. The pillow has an adjustable elastic ring so that users can ensure that it fits snugly on their head. It is also filled with special silicon-coated micro-beads, which its creators say enhance noise reduction. Describing the reasoning behind the creation of the Ostrich Pillow, company spokesperson Shadi Ganjavian-Connor said: "We all spend way too much time in transit, travelling on the bus, train and plane. Lots of these hours are wasted doing nothing; we sit there wishing we could nod off in private, into a parallel universe, recharging our mind to tackle what lies ahead." At present the company are trying to raise £25,000 in 30 days so they can launch their product in time for Christmas. Will you be ordering one for your commute? If so, probably best to set an alarm!
