What is memory foam?
Memory foam is a high-density, low-resilience polyurethane foam that softens when it comes into contact with heat, which grants it the unique quality of being able to mould around your body shape while you sleep, helping to alleviate any pressures on the body giving you a restful nights sleep.
Containing a bottom layer of reflex foam and a top layer of memory foam, all-foam mattresses can offer all sorts of support, from soft to firm. This is because the deeper the layer of memory foam – the amount differs between manufacturers and models – the more firm the mattress will be. This type of memory foam mattress normally includes a zip-off washable cover that can easily be put in the washing machine, keeping the mattress incredibly fresh!
Combined Memory Foam & Pocket Sprung Mattresses
Memory foam and open coil springs contain a traditional open coil sprung unit that has a layer of memory foam on the top. Most of these mattress usually have a soft knit cover and are finished with a high quality upholstered fabric edging, and users can benefit from improved air flow throughout the mattress, cooling down the sleeper during the night.
Featuring a highly supportive pocket sprung unit at the core, which is then topped with a layer of memory foam and finished with high quality upholstery, memory foam and pocket sprung mattresses are the perfect pairing of comfort and longevity. Mouldable foam and individually-housed springs ensure that you'll have a blissful night's sleep.
