View basket & checkoutThe Malmo white wooden bed frame is a simple, classic design that is beautifully elegant and will appeal to most tastes.
The traditional styling of the Malmo double white bed is complimented by its contemporary white painted wood finish, making it a sure favourite in any household. Manufactured from solid rubber wood, the Malmo is sturdy and reliable – as well as "environmentally friendly"!
Rubberwood is wood from the Para rubber tree (Hevea brasiliensis), native to South America, but grown widely across Asia. Rubberwood, also called parawood in Thailand and is used in high-end furniture as it is valued for its dense grain, attractive colour, minimal shrinkage, and acceptance of different finishes.
Although the rubber tree is primarily grown to source rubber, the left over wood is praised as an "environmentally friendly" product, as it makes use of trees that have been cut down at the end of their latex-producing cycle.
It is one of the more durable hardwood lumbers used in the manufacturing of home furnishings of this decade. A member of the Euphorbiaceae family, rubberwood has a dense grain character that is easily controlled in the kiln drying process.
Rubberwood has very little shrinkage making it one of the more stable construction materials available for furniture manufacturing. Rubberwood lumber takes easily many different types and colors of wood finishes such that rubberwood as used in furniture can mimic rosewood, or oak or other more expensive lumbers creating confusion in the identification of the type of wood used in the furniture.
The Malmo white bed frame is constructed with a metal centre rail and 2 metal supporting feet, to give you peace of mind that you’re in safe hands when it comes to bed time. The sprung slatted base will provide extra support to your mattress during the night, ensuring you have a more comfortable and restful night’s sleep.
This effortless and cleanly designed white bed frame is fantastic value for money. If top end styling with a low end price is what you are after, take a look at the Malmo white bed frame as this is an outstanding model for the price!
