BravoThe most common thing you hear people complaining about when restyling or designing a bedroom is the lack of space. Unless you are very short or it s a child’s bedroom, then the option of buying a smaller sized bed isn’t realistic, so some other way of making the most of the available space has to be found. One way to gain extra space is to use storage beds. These beds come in all different styles and sizes these days and you can find one that will suit practically any bedroom no matter the decor. In a children’s bedroom something like the Pandora Storage Bunk is a good alternative to the usual single bed. The hard wearing pine construction of the bed gives great strength and security for youngsters who will enjoy the fun element of climbing up the ladder into bed every night. Space beneath the bunk can be fully utilised for the storage of toys, which are always difficult to find enough space for in a child’s room. Another option for an older child’s room or even a guest bedroom is a cabin bed which cleverly incorporates storage room into the design of the bed. For a master bedroom where space is limited an Ottoman style bed could have advantages. An Ottoman utilises the space in the base of the bed for storage and can provide a space saving solution while still managing to look trendy. The extremely popular Clayton Ottoman Storage bed is a good example of how the practical design of the ottoman doesn’t need to compromise the chic appearance of the bed. This bed comes in a wide variety of colours and choice of finishes including faux leather, Chenille and Faux Suede. With such a variation in finishes this is a bed that would give plenty of choices to anyone designing a bedroom, no matter what their colour scheme or style was going to be. An alternative to including an Ottoman style bed in your bedroom design is to go for the more traditional drawer type storage bed. This type of bed has pull out drawers built into the base of the bed with the number of drawers varying. The Bravo Storage bed has two large storage drawers (one either side of the bed) as well as a low foot –end that also provides extra space and is a good example of how this style of storage bed can still look good and yet provide handy extra space. With so many variations of storage beds to choose from, we’re sure there will be one to suit your bedroom and help with uncluttering it too.
