Akashic Books and Audible.com announced that they had bagged the actor for the role of reading one of the most popular books on Amazon and beyond: Go the **** to Sleep. On Thursday night (June 16th), Jackson appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman to read an excerpt from the book. Written by Rutgers professor Adam Mansbach and illustrated by Ricardo Cortés, the rendition from the actor certainly delighted his fans and lovers of the book alike. Described as a children's book for adults, Go the **** to Sleep was originally written as a PDF and distributed via email, turning it into a viral sensation. While it had originally been scheduled for publication in October, the book jumped to number one in Amazon.com's bestseller list by the end of April and was released early as a result of these preorders.
