91949024Workers in the US are resorting to taking cheeky naps in the office because they aren’t getting a good enough night’s rest according to a recent poll. In a survey of 1,000 people carried out by Braun Research for Philips Consumer Lifestyle, nearly one quarter of employees admitted to trying to get some shut eye in the workplace. Not having a lengthy enough visit to slumberland was also cited by 85 per cent of respondents as a factor preventing them from meeting their full potential during the working day. Russell Rosenberg, the vice chairman of the National Sleep Foundation and the director of the Atlanta School of Sleep Medicine and Technology, said: "The survey shows that inadequate sleep and poor sleep habits are primary factors for poor job performance, and can also lead to increased irritability, moodiness and lack of energy".
