Drummer Paul Cook may have been the ‘coolest’ member of punk rock band The Sex Pistols, but he knows the importance of getting children into their kid’s beds on time. Daughter Hollie Cook told the Mail Online’s Live magazine (July 28th) that the only thing her dad ‘stood firm’ on when she was growing up was that she be home when he’d asked her to after a night out. Hollie, who has followed in her father’s musical footsteps to become a singer, recalled Paul’s reaction when she arrived home late once: “One night I rolled in at 1am, way past my curfew, and he was sitting up waiting for me in the dark,” she said. “He didn’t have to say anything. The look on his face was enough for me never to try that one again.” Ms Cook revealed to the publication that she couldn’t have rebelled as a child as - apart from her strict curfew - her parents were so easy-going. “Anything I wanted to do was fine with them,” she said. “Above all else”, Hollie told the Mail, “I’m very proud of the fact that my dad was the coolest Sex Pistol.”
