When couples have different sleeping and waking times it can lead to difficulties and even disagreement, with one partner unnecessarily being woken by the sound of the other’s alarm clock sometimes hours before they themselves need to rise. Now a new iPhone app allows couples to snooze together more easily due to its silent nature. The Lark Up app which is available on the iPhone and iPad has been designed to wake individuals silently without waking your partner. The system, which was designed by a Harvard sleep expert, wakes the user with vibrations transmitted by a wristband. The settings for the alarm are wirelessly transferred by an iPhone or iPad, it also features a snooze option. As well as operating as an alarm system, the Lark wristband also assesses your sleep quality and patterns using the sleep sensor and tracker which reports on your sleep journey using a personal online dashboard.
