stk81372corIf you haven’t yet hit the shops to pick you your Mother’s Day present you may want to reconsider your plans. According to a poll of 3,000 mums conducted by Clinton Cards you can leave the chocolates on the shelves and forget to pop in at the florists, because what mums want the most is a nice long lie in bed. But despite one in three placing more value on extra hours under the duvet than on material gifts only one in six think they might actually get one come Sunday morning. The desire for more relaxation time was a common theme, with one in four stating they would like someone else to clear up after dinner. A spokesman for Clinton Cards said: “Despite best intentions with grand, lavish gifts, it really is the little things that will make a difference.”
