The Spice Girls are capturing the attention of the nation once again thanks to their new West End Musical Viva Forever, but one lady who'd prefer to see her baby snuggle down in her kid's bed than be out celebrating is Victoria Beckham. Harper Beckham is David and Victoria's youngest at just 11 months old, so it is understandable that her mum didn’t want to be away for any longer than necessary. After a press conference in London's St Pancras Renaissance Hotel, the former singer chose to forego the opportunity to have a girly get-together on the town, saying she had to rush off to fulfil her motherly duties. "I'd love to stay and hang out with the girls," Victoria said, "but I'm desperate to see [Harper] before she goes to bed. I have to race home for bedtime.' Mrs Beckham had only spent 24 hours in London, Marie Claire reported (27th June), but flew straight home to Los Angeles to settle her little girl for the night. At the conference, Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton, Mel C and Mel B joined Victoria to give press the low-down on the new show, which is due to open in December. The musical is based on the Spice Girls' hits songs and was created by Judy Craymer who was behind the ABBA musical.
