92735289The possibility of getting a bed bug infestation is the kind of thing that runs chills up the spine of even the hardiest man, yet a number of people in the US are being handed a lifeline by a charity that aims to get rid of the problem once and for all. BedBug Central has revealed that it is promoting its Take a Bite Out of the Holidays campaign, a charitable drive to offer free bed bug extermination services to individuals or families suffering an infestation behind headboards, around bed frames and between bunk beds. The program operates in a simple fashion - people affected by the problem must write in 300 words or less why they, or their charitable group, needs to be de-bugged. The applications being accepted range from anyone with a single family home or apartment, to group homes, shelters and even nursing homes. Jeffrey White of Bedbug Central, the online information resource delivering bedbug information, came up with the idea. He said: "Bed bugs can be very expensive to eliminate, and with the effects of this economy, we knew we had to give back. We understand the importance of giving back and we wanted to continue the tradition and provide some relief to those in need."
