Looking for an alternative to leather storage beds? The Hyder Paris Ottoman is is upholstered in luxurious black faux suede. The gently curving headboard features subtle piping detail. The bed benefits from having a sprung slatted base for additional comfort and support. The gas lift ottoman base raises to reveal a storage space which is approximately 4 times the area of a traditional divan style bed frame. My partner managed to put this bed together alone, and as he's not a DIY expert, that speaks volumes. I was hesitant to order a bed with faux suede as I thought it would be damaged easily and I'd need to brush it to make it look decent. In reality it's fine and I don't have to do anything! The suede (rather than leather) gives a slightly softer look to a room where we have some other black furniture too - stopping the bed from looking harsh or overpowering. (Posted on 05/05/2011)Rating
