100876891We all have a side of the bed that we prefer to sleep on, but new research has claimed that individuals who sleep on the left side of the bed tend to be happier and less stressed than right-side sleepers. In a poll of more than 3,000 adults, commissioned by hotel chain Premier Inn, a quarter of all left-sleeping respondents said they take a positive attitude towards life, compared to just 18 per cent of their right-sleeping counterparts who said the same. Individuals who normally sleep on the left side of their white beds also found it easier to balance demanding workloads. Claire Haigh, a representative for Premier Inn, commented: “It comes down to habit and what you're used to. If you are used to sleeping on a certain side of the bed, it does feel a little alien when you switch. “So it seems the age old saying about getting out of bed on the wrong side is completely true.”
