Crafted from solid oak with oak veneers that have been finished in a beautiful warm colour, the Arran Oak storage bed has been finished off to a very high standard with a layer of high quality lacquer that makes the bed ultra durable whilst accentuating the gorgeous grain of the oak timber. I got my bed delivered yesterday - so happy with it. The quality looks even better than in photos, the oak colour is so nice - looks such an expensive bed. Wanted to buy similar from Dreams but when I saw it in the shop - looked so much cheaper and changed my mind. So was a bit concerned while waiting for this one to be delivered and for no reason - it's so much better than the one in Dreams, quality is excellent, Saturday delivery to the choice of my room - so convenient. The only thing I could suggest - the instructions about fitting some parts could be more detailed, pictures zoomed, as had to guess when fitting lift up mechanism. Otherwise - 100% happy with my choice. Just had some friends over and they also complimented how nice the bed looks. And such value for money! Thank you. (Posted on 05/02/2012)Rating - Excellent bed! Questions about Arran Oak Ottoman Storage Bed

- Your Arran Oak Ottoman Storage bed is 142 x 202 cm but your bed size guide states that the UK double bed size is 135 x 190 cm. Are the latter measurements for a mattress ? If they are then wouldn't the mattress be too small for the above storage bed ? Asked by John McDonagh on 19/01/2012 22:36
- All dimensions quoted are external for the bed frame itself which will be larger than the mattress. This is done so customers can see if the bed will fit into the space required. If you purchase the double bed frame then you need to purchase the 4'6 double mattress to go with it (135cm x 190cm).
