Childrens Beds

Childrens beds should be fun as well as functional! An attractive bedroom can make all the difference to how a child sleeps and whether they want to go to bed or not so its always worth investing some effort into getting a bed frame that is desirable to your child as well as comfortable. A good nights sleep is very key to how healthy our children are so a good bed is a must.

Childrens beds are now available in all shapes and sizes as designers are going all out to create some really funky, stimulating kids beds designs! They now come in a whole range of colours including (amongst others) white, pink, blue and silver so whatever kind of interior décor you were wanting for the kids room – we are bound to have something to suit!

If your child's room is small, there are a few different options that will make all the difference to the floor space so that they have more room to play. The first is the bunk bed – these are available in either wood or metal and sleep two children in the same space! The second is the single divan bed – a divan bed is a good option as the dimensions of the base are only the size of the mattress thus meaning it takes up less space!

Children love sleepovers so a good option to buy in order to make both your child and their friends comfortable is a guest bed set – we have many of these featured on the Time4sleep website that are easy to use and set up when the kids arrive! When its time for the little darlings to go home the spare guest bed slides effortlessly back underneath the main bed. We have some great guest bed sets on the website than can be purchased alongside the mattresses in a bundle deal which means that you will save money too!

Two other types of bed that help out with space saving are high sleepers and mid sleepers – these can have a really modern look to them – especially the Stompa models featured on the website and can contain other items of furniture underneath such as desks, shelves and drawers etc. These types of bed can be purchased in many different colours that will help in creating a bright, functional room for your child.

Storage is what we all need now – especially in the kids room! Instead of having their toys, books and clothing thrown all over the bedroom, another idea in the quest to keep their room tidy would be a wooden cabin bed – these contain a multitude of drawers and cupboards beneath the sleeping surface and help to maximise any space possible in a bedroom!

Most of the standard single childrens beds on our website take a mattress size of 90cm x 190cm (3ft x 6ft 3) meaning that it is easy to buy one that fits! The only exception to the rule is when purchasing a Stompa Uno bed. This particular range of beds takes a European mattress size with the dimensions of 90cm x 200cm (slightly longer than a standard UK single mattress) but can be purchased on the website alongside the Uno bed range.
